Indigo Ninjas is the very first team in Japan. Students are from all over Tokyo and around the area and are passionate in building robots and team management. Indigo Ninjas is not only for students with engineering skills but also for those who have enthusiasm in learning new technology.
Our team has a job separation. Because the advantage can be made use.
FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a multinational non-profit organization founded by Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway Human Transporter, in 1989. Its goal is to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology.
Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. --- usfirst.org
FIRST provides 4 programs to students aged 6-18.
More than 400,000 students and 90,000 mentors are expected to participate in FIRST programs in 2014-2015 season in total. Also, FIRST is supported by over 3500 sponsors, including PTC, FedEx, National Instruments, NASA and so on.
FRC® (FIRST Robotics Competition) is an international high-school robotics competition organized by FIRST, started in 1992. FRC challenges teams of young people and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard “kit of parts”. Every year, a different game is played.
Since Indigo Ninjas is the very first team participating in FRC from Japan, we need more funds than other normal teams. We’re asking companies and individuals for sponsorship so that we can be the pioneers of FRC teams in Japan.
By becoming a sponsor of Indigo Ninjas, you can help inspiring students in science and improving skills of the future generations and you can contribute to Japan’s science and technology in the long term!
